New WMS & Cargo Tracking available for Russia and CIS
Ahlers launches innovative Warehouse Management and Cargo Security solutions for the Russian market
St. Petersburg/Russia/19 November 2015
Ahlers continues to pave a safer, more secure and more efficient way for logistics with the launch of two new products on the Russian market. Representatives of Ahlers Rus today presented the new STORE© Warehouse Management System and its innovative Cargo Security and Tracking System during the Port of Antwerp delegation’s visit to St. Petersburg.
The new systems have been designed and developed to meet the specific challenges of logistics operations in Russia and the CIS. From smarter, more connected and better managed warehouses to more reliable and more cost-effective cargo security solutions … the new products are just two examples of Ahlers’ commitment to being more than just a logistics service provider.
Our STORE© Warehouse Management System combines a user-friendly interface with sophisticated radio frequency tracking and in-depth reporting. STORE© makes it easier than ever to keep precise tabs on your inventory and stock movements. The system can also be seamlessly interfaced with the client’s existing ERP system and will soon integrate smart-glass technology via a new Augmented Reality module.
More secure transport
Ahlers’ Cargo Security and Tracking System was developed to complement or even entirely replace the need for armed security escorts when transporting valuable goods. Using state-of-the-art GPS technology backed by real-time, round-the-clock monitoring, the system has several built-in anti-theft functions and sends instant alerts in the event of anything suspicious. If need be, Ahlers’ dispatch centre will coordinate with local police and security services to ensure a swift intervention.
The system software can track any number of vehicles, routes and destination points simultaneously and is fully compliant with TAPA requirements. Best of all, it can cut the costs of traditional security solutions by up to 50%.
"We devote a lot of attention to developing and implementing innovative products. As an international logistics company, we see and experience the real demands of our customers on a daily basis, allowing us to understand their specific requirements. We also possess the practical knowledge of the workings of multiple systems, allowing us to meet these needs perfectly,” says Stefan Van Doorslaer, Managing Director, Ahlers CIS & Baltics.
Both systems are the product of Ahlers’ industry know-how and extensive experience “on the ground” in Russia and elsewhere. Designed in response to the needs of individual clients, they have now been further developed for the wider market and are available for implementation as of today.
