Ahlers expands shipping lines network with a new sustainable partnership in Africa

Ahlers and SAFWAF MPV, both renowned companies in the shipping industry, have decided to join forces and enter an agency agreement for their East and West Africa service

We are pleased to inform you that SAFWAF MPV has appointed Ahlers Agencies as their agent in Europe, India, South East Asia and China as from September 1, 2016.

SAFWAF MPV is a fully independent, reliable and regular multi-purpose liner shipping service connecting Southern Africa and West Africa. Previously operated by Safmarine but now owned and operated by Fairseas International since February 2016, this carrier has served the West Africa Trade Lane for over thirty years. The SAFWAF MPV service offers a 6-7 weekly frequency calling Durban, Cape Town and Walvis Bay on the Southern African coast, with direct calls on every voyage at Matadi-DRC.

Inducement possibilities and port pairing is offered from ALL SA Ports of call up to Morocco, with Southbound opportunities on application. The SAFWAF MPV service is truly a multipurpose service offering Breakbulk, Bulk and containerised shipping on all vessels operated on this route.
