Ahlers and the Antwerp Nautical College. /17 May 2001/

With a very tight labour market for seagoing officers, it is important for Ahlers Maritime Services to stay in contact with the students of the Nautical College in Antwerp.

On Wednesday the 16th of May, Ahlers invited the last year students of the Nautical College to present Ahlers Maritime Services during an informal meeting.

After the presentation the students had the opportunity to ask questions to our office personnel and to sea going officers and captains, already working with Ahlers for several years.

Last year same initiative was taken, as a result of which Ahlers was able to fill up all the open positions on board of its managed fleet.

Judging from the reactions received from the students, Ahlers trusts to have enough candidates to fill up the open positions this year.
