Bosch Siemens Home appliances chooses Ahlers Logistics as strategic partner in Russia /03 Jul 2009/

Ahlers Logistics provides a comprehensive logistic service package to B/S/H including inbound receipt, storage and handling. B/S/H started the production of refrigerators in St. Petersburg in July 2007. The current production capacity is 250,000 units per year.

Eugen Kozubek, head of the finished goods warehouse at B/S/H St. Petersburg says:  “We require a logistic service provider who meets our high demand for operational flexibility, reliability and cost efficiency. B/S/H has ambitious expansion plans in Russia, hence needs to rely on a service provider who combines logistic excellence and local market knowledge. Decisive factors for the partnership were the high flexibility of people and management, the local presence of Ahlers in St. Petersburg (since more than 16 years) and the WMS’s adaptability (Warehouse Management System). “

This WMS was designed in-house and is used to steer operations using RF scanning. The location of ALC (Ahlers Logistic Centre) close to B/S/H and to the main access roads to and from St. Petersburg is an added value.
