Luc Maton, Renaud Guttinger and Adi Handaja attended successful mission in Indonesia /29 May 2012/

Last week Ahlers delegates joined a VOKA/FIT mission in Indonesia.

Last week Adi Handaja, Renaud Guttinger and Luc Maton participated in a joint Voka/ FIT mission in Jakarta, Bandung and Surabaya. The mission was joined by 10 Belgian companies and organizations including Recticel, Deslee Clama, Dredging Intl, and Jan de Nul.

In Jakarta the delegation was met by the Ambassador of Belgium and his staff on a reception at his residence. During a visit to the Worldbank the participants were introduced to the working and project participation procedures of this important lending institution. During network receptions in the respective cities Ahlers invited a number of its customers and potential customers.

In Jakarta the delegation visited a factory producing cigarette paper and on the way from Jakarta to Bandung a mattress ticking factory was most interesting. In Bandung the quite recent Ahlers office was visited, as well as some shoe factories.

In Surabay a visit to a big Indian steel mill which is manufacturing steel wire was on the programme. Actually it was the place where Mr Laksmi Mittal was posted to do his first job.

The mission gave an excellent impression of the economical development of Indonesia (growth expectations of the next 3 year of 6% to 7 %) and as usual we could again experience the great hospitality of the Indonesians.
